Have a word ..
.. or two with yourself.. and make them kind, empowering, supportive, positive.
We all have an internal dialogue and unfortunately it’s rarely good. I don’t know about you, but I’ve really struggled with that annoying little negative voice in my head, you know the one, the one that says;
“you can’t”, “you shouldn’t”, “you’re not good enough”
Once you’re aware of the little blighter (I’m gonna call mine Roger) you can’t seem to shut them up but I’m telling you that you can. You can replace them entirely. 🙂
You can replace them with whoever you choose so choose someone supportive, someone who encourages you with words of power, of can-do, of you are enough. My new voice is called Sally. She cheers me on, she tells me to go do, she tells me it will al be alright and that all I need to do is try.
I’ve heard it said that the quality of your life will be determined by the quality of the conversations you have with yourself. So mind your mind people. You ARE enough, you CAN do it.
You are worthy
Affirm it, believe it, know it.
Hello there. I’ve missed you.
Sorry for there being such a ridiculously long gap since my last post. Various things have conspired against me but I make no excuses, I’ve been neglecting you dear readers.
So I am just back from me holibobs with the lovely missus and while there, touring Cali in a drop top Mustang, we listened to some audio and one piece in particular resonated with me. So…. I made a little video to help explain it.
and do you know what.. it works. Try it for yourself and see. I would go as as far as to say that a little extra kindness could go a lot of the way towards solving some of the most significant problem our world faces.
Kindness is a way to be, a choice and if you filter your decisions and reactions through a ‘kindness’ filter then you can’t go too far wrong.
Have a lovely day people and make it better for yourself by doing something for someone today, something unexpected.
Thanks for being there.
It’s a lonely word.. and it something that’s followed me all my life.
My Nan used to say..
never put off till tomorrow what you should do today
Well Nan is Nan and I am me and I am an expert at putting off until next week what I should have done last month.
And that needs to change.
Anything Shia can do I can do too..
So whatever it is (and you KNOW what it is) JUST. DO. IT. Stop putting it off, stop making excuses and stop listening to that little bastard voice inside you that says
“You can’t do it” “You’re not good enough” “What if something goes wrong”..
It’s been said that the quality of your conversation with yourself will reflect the quality of your life, so shut that little negative git up and believe in yourself. Instead of thinking what might go wrong, think what might go right. Instead of thinking I shouldn’t, think I should.
You CAN, you WILL, you ARE.
I CAN, I WILL, I AM. Now watch.
Have a lovely day people.
I woke up to this from one of my favourites today and it motivated the hell out of me.
Hope it does the same for you.
Happy Tuesday people
